Don’t hide; go outside and celebrate at Middlebury Winterfest 2019! Winterfest will feature both indoor and outdoor activities sure to please every member of the family. Most events are totally free.

Here is a partial list of activities to enjoy both inside and outside:

Thursday, February 14

7:00 pm at Middlebury College: Winter Carnival Fireworks

Friday, February 15

5:00 to 7:00 pm at American Flatbread, flatbread buffet 5:00 to 6:00 pm. $10 per person. To attend the buffet RSVP Required. The Lantern Walk sponsored by the Middlebury Area Land Trust from 6:00 to 7:00 is a free, family-friendly community event. Simply bring a lantern to the Marbleworks Riverfront Park and join family, friends and neighbors for a beautiful procession of light around the falls.

Saturday, February 16

10:30 am – 4:30 pm drop in to the Ilsley Library for a winter themed story and make your own snow measuring stick. The Marquis Theater hosts Penguin Saturday with a free showing of Happy Feet beginning at 12:30 pm and then March of the Penguins at 3:00 pm. Free small popcorn is included!

4:00 pm Middlebury College’s ice show “Spotlight on Broadway” featuring music from best-loved theatrical and movie musicals with skaters of all ages and abilities. Tickets available at the Middlebury College Box Office or at the door $6.00

6:00 to 8:30 pm Brews + BBQ at Otter Creek Brewing ($15/person at the door, under 21 free) with games, fire pits, sampling and more. Cover charge gets you 5 tokens to sample brews and BBQ of your choosing with full portions available to purchase. Please park at 700 Exchange St (across the street from OCB).

Sunday, February 17

12:00 to 4:00 pm Winterfest activities continue at College Park (across from Shafer’s) with snow carving, music, food, activities, Horse and Wagon Rides and more. Wagon Rides begin at 2:00 pm. Marquis Theater hosts a free showing of Frozen at 3:00 pm.

2:30 pm Second performance of Middlebury College’s ice show “Spotlight on Broadway” ($6)

Monday, February 18

10:00 am to 12:00 pm Free skating at the Memorial Sports Center (with free skate rentals).

1:00 to 4:00 pm Come to Parks & Rec Gymnasium for an afternoon of fun – sledding (bring your own sled), cocoa, music, and lots of games and activities.
