40th Annual Goshen Gallop
July 21st, 2018 - July 21st, 2018
The greatest gallop is what the Goshen Gallop is all about. Throughout the years the event has taken place in a myriad of conditions ranging from mud to oppressive high humidity, in the face of threatening thunderstorms, low humidity, dust and sometimes absolute perfection. The philosophy of the event doesn’t change; it is to stress fun, including music, fantastic food, and celebrated friendships.
Now in its 40th year the Goshen Gallop still takes runners on the same gravel roads and cross-country trails through the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area of the Green Mountain National Forest with fabulous views from the South end of Hogback- rated as one of the best views in Vermont.
By participating in the gallop you are contributing to a great cause – the restoration of a piece of the Green Mountain National Forest. In 2011 Hurricane Irene destroyed two key river crossings. To repair this damage proceeds of this year’s race will be used to replace two bridges and to fix surrounding trails.
Registration includes 2018 Race Entry, Gallop T shirt, other Goshen Gallop/Blueberry Hill Swag, BBQ ticket, live music and sponsor goodies. Race start time will be 4 pm for all racers under the Start Banner across the road.
