How Do I sign up for Bill Pay?

How Do I sign up for Bill Pay?
Click on First Time Log In and fill in the application.

Once I fill out the online form, can I use Bill Pay right away?
You will receive an email in 1-2 business days after you enroll, letting you know you have been approved and can begin paying bills.

Can I have more than one account to pay bills?
Yes. At enrollment, you select one National Bank of Middlebury primary checking account. Additional checking accounts can be added later. From Options, select Pay From Accounts, then Add account; complete the required information. The account approval process may take three business days, after which you may begin paying from the added account.

Is there a dollar limit to the amount of funds I can transfer?
The daily limit is set to $2500. You can call us at 388-4982 to request an increase.

How can I send a payment to an individual, i.e., rent to my landlord through Bill Pay?
Go to the Payee tab, and choose “Add a Payee” from the menu; select Individual and complete the required fields. You will have the opportunity to select how you would like the payment sent, either “Electronic” or “Check”. To send the payment electronically, enter your payee’s bank account and routing information.

Payees are available as soon as you have activated them. Directions for payee activation should appear after on the “Finished” screen, to the far right; this includes requesting an activation code. Bill Pay can provide this code by email or by phone. Payments that you have scheduled to new payees will not be sent until your payee has been activated.

Can I sign on to Bill Pay from Online Banking?
Yes, there is a link within Online Banking to the bill pay log in screen.

What happens if I don’t use my account for a long time?
It will be deactivated after 90 days of inactivity. If you would like to reactivate your account, please give us a call at 802-388-4982. There is no need to re-enroll to activate an account.
